This QIAOTLB Belt Hook is heavy-duty and capable of holding as much weight as you'd probably ever want hanging from your belt. The hook is 2.5" deep and can accept about that much in width, although there is a tab that reduces the actual opening to 1.8" on the top side. The tab is there for the purpose of locking the hook in position, either forward or backward when it's not in use and the perpendicular position when it is. As shown on the product page, there are also two leather loops for screwdrivers or similar tools.Check out the pics I've provided for the various dimension details as well as one of the ways you might be able to use the hook as a drill holder. As for the rubber cap on the end of the hook, it will probably come off and get lost pretty quickly, however you might want to try gluing it on before that happens. The hook could also be easily sleeved with poly or rubber tubing, depending on how you plan to use it.
