=== Update Jan 19 2024 ===I did have to purchase an additional bit set and it was well worth the price, which really was not much at all even. It is a highly rated set right here on Amazon and it frequently is suggested as the product to pair this nail drill with.Using those new bits I now have wide array of bits to use not only for gel or dip powder removal but also for doing a dry manicure, including, lifting the eponychium.I also previously forgot to mention that the nail drill is very, very low vibration. This is very important as low vibration of the nail drill means lower risk of damage to the live tissue and the nail plate because it enables better control.The other thing I forgot to mention is that you can charge this nail drill and use it at the same time. That is clearly very handy if you are in the middle of a product removal or dry manicure and then it runs out of juice. I fully charge the nail drill probably every 30 to 40 hours of use which gets easily gets me at least 6 product removal sessions. I just started dry manicures so I am not sure how that will impact recharge times. Generally I just recharge it when I remember to do it and when I think it has probably been long enough since the last time I charged it but of course I cannot remember when that was.=== Update Aug 18 2023 ===When removing dip powder or gel polish I find it substantially easier to control the nail drill at any speed and regardless of having an anchor point merely by using the opposite direction I am supposed to. I know, that sounds confusing. So, when I use my right hand (dominant) to remove product from my left hand nails I actually put this nail drill in reverse (R) mode instead of forward (F). Likewise when I use my left hand (non-dominant) to remove product from my right hand nails use the drill in forward (F) mode instead of reverse (R). For me, it helps a great deal and I never lose control even up to 24K RPM,=== Original Review ===For the price the fact that I can adjust this nail drill from 1K to 35K RPM at 1K increments AND being a cordless nail drill with a long battery life is huge. It has everything you want that I just mentioned along with forward and reverse settings and a quick bit lock system.If you are like me then you probably are using this on yourself rather than being a nail technician. I fall into the former and as a result I find this nail drill to be lightweight and easy to control. Fun tip when using it on yourself: hold the nail drill more towards the bottom (like really close) and you will find that even at 19K RPM you can easily control this nail drill without having a stabilization point (e.g., awkward position of a finger that is also holding the nail drill to provide an anchor to the finger of the opposing hand).Is it quiet? Yes. It is as quiet as the the underlying materials you are using it against. Natural nails with gel polish is quieter than faux nails with gel polish.I have used this to help remove gel polish on my natural nails. For that I used not more than 10K RPM. I have used this to help remove salon quality Nexgen dip powder on natural nails and for that I used 19K RPM. I have not yet used it on acrylics but that is solely because I have not yet done acrylic nails. For that I think a higher RPM than 19K is needed.With all of these things said this nail drill, IMHO, provides the best performance to cost benefit ratio and can scale all the way to acrylic removal needs without any difficulty. The fact that it is cordless is a great benefit and that it comes with additional sanding bands. The bits are universal and I have used a few of them with great results.
