I purchased the Mahogany color, and the picture is pretty close to what you'll get. They appear a bit more brown in person though, almost as if you are standing right at the intersection of brown and purple. A very interesting shade of faux wood.The blind material is smooth and of good quality, and has a nice subtle texture to it. Upon arrival, I noticed that there were a few scratches on a few of the blind surfaces. This was disappointing, but when standing back a few feet they aren't noticeable. As they are cordless, it is a bit difficult to pull the blind back down but very easy to pull it up. The locking mechanism appears to be strong.Getting the valance on was a bit of a pain, as you have to do it after you install everything else. One of the bracket doors had a tendency not to stay up reliably which complicated the installation process. In addition, the very top panel has a tendency to get caught in the brackets or center support when installing so do be careful. Finally, the installation screws could have been of better quality, as I managed to shear one of the screws using a phillips head drill bit. I switched to the attachment that encircles the screw and that worked just fine however.These are expensive blinds but worth the price if you can afford it. The quality is a cut above the rest and they are very attractive.As for the included pictures, I decided to go with another blind for the room with the green paint, but installed it here first to see how I liked it. I wound up moving the blind into our bathroom and it fits perfectly, completely changing the feel of the room compared to before. The baseboard heater is not in use by the way. --- The last couple pictures show some of the scratches/imperfections.As a side note, I wish there were a reliable way to contact this company. I have used their website, an email address that was on one of the Amazon product pages at one time, and the email address on the WalMart website and have never received a reply.
